Ceremony Writer, Designer and Wedding Co-ordinator
My wedding adventure began in 2012. After working 14 years in the creative industries and having my two gorgeous kiddy winks I decided to quit the city rat race and use my skills to shake up the world of weddings which, in my eyes, was well over due.
Becoming one of the first five in the UK to nationally qualify as an independent celebrant was the start of my Love Revolution to show couples that there was another way to say “I do”, one that could be a much more personal experience reflecting their personalities and lifestyles and held in the great ourdoors. This is my reason d’être and the thing that gets me out of bed in a morning, well that, and a lot of Nespresso coffee and my excitable sprocker spaniel “Barney Rubble”!!!
I have always been a bit of a rebel with a cause following my instincts, not taking things at face value and always believing everyone is unique and variety is the spice of life.
My home is Yorkshire with it’s beautiful countryside, villages, stone buildings, woodlands, beaches and coast line. I feel so lucky that my working life gives me many beautiful changing views of the great outdoors and peoples lives. 2019/20, the year that never happened- and one we all would like to forget!- has taught us all many things. For me it is a reminder just how precious and fragile the world is, how dependent we are on each other and the importance of spending time in the great outdoors.
Love is…. so many things; the small pleasures in life, espresso martini’s, wine, cheese in every shape or form but nothing compares to holding hands and big hugs, watching my children sleep, feeling the love of a good man, being surrounded by my family and doing what I love.
I can’t wait to be back celebrating with you all again soon.
