Whether you decide to escape to the country to have an off the beaten track outdoor wedding, a beautiful woodland wedding, a secret garden wedding at home or private estate in a tipee or marquee, a festival wedding jamboree, an old characterful barn wedding or alternative wedding at an unusual venue we want to “get into your shoes” and understand what makes you tick as a couple so that your big day makes you both feel “this is us”.

To make your ceremony a more personal story and experience for you, your families and guests we need to get to know you!
The ceremony planning begins with a questionnaire followed by an informal half-day consultation to get you thinking about what you want your ceremony to be and for you to have some fun as you reminisce! It helps us get a feel for your personalities, style and sense of humour; to understand your values and the places, people and life experiences that have influenced your journey. We like to hear your take on love, where and how it all began and the things that made you stronger as a couple. We bring all these things together to create a unique ceremony that expresses the things you want to say rather than what you have to. Here’s what Rebecca & Chris said when they had their “first read” of their ceremony script:
“Oh my word, we read it last night and absolutely love it!
I’ll try not to gush too much but it’s perfect, what a talented lady you are…! Chris is the hardest person in the world to please and I work on the premise no news is good news i.e. if he doesn’t have anything critical to say then it’s excellent – I probed him and he said he thought it was great, which is off the scale praise indeed (for him).
It’s the perfect balance and sums us up perfectly, it’s everything we hoped it would be and more – thank you so much. It’s sensitive, just the right amount of romantic, funny in all the right places and personal to “our kind of love” whilst incorporating the broader landscape of our personal backgrounds and family.”
ON THE DAY CO-ORDINATION: A SAFE PAIR OF HANDS
In addition to having a personal ceremony, many couples choose to tap into our on the day co-ordination service so that they, their family and friends can sit back and relax knowing that someone else is taking over the reins adding the finishing touches, liaising with suppliers and making things happen on the day.
In the few weeks running up to your big day we help pull together a running order, contact the venue, caterers and suppliers arriving on the day and check arrangements and requirements. We have a final handover with you the afternoon before the big day then you can just relax into wedding day mode, enjoy the build up and focus on all the nice things! We are on site for 10 hours on the day, usually up to the first dance/cake cutting, then we love you and leave you to party til the early hours!

“Not only did Jan write and perform a beautiful ceremony, she was wedding co-ordination on the day too. Me being a total control freak, could comprehend how she could be in 3 places at once on such a big estate, but she managed it. Not only did she help us dress the ceremony space, she was delivering breakfasts to the bridal party and orchestrating suppliers arriving all with a cool head. Tom’s request on the day was that after seeing to the (diva) Bride, Jan needed to take care of his Nana. Well we still get comments every time we visit Nana June on how wonderfully she was taken care of all day by Jan”
SEASONAL FLOWERS: PICK N’ MIX STYLING AND BOUQUETS
When it comes to flower supply, like many of our couples we’d rather stay closer to home than clock up the miles and carbon footprint. We are big advocates of the great British garden revival and supporting our local flower growers who lovingly grow beautiful British seasonal flowers, herbs, berries and foliage that the look and smell amazing. In addition to your ceremony and/or on the day co-ordination we also offer mixed seasonal flowers/foliage with different textures and a choice of colours; you can, for additional charge, specify a hero flower. We will create a private Pinterest board with flowers that are in season around your wedding date than we can share and add your ideas to. We’re flexible so depending on your requirements and budget, how creative you are and how hands on you want to be you can pick n mix from the following options :
- Flower styling for your ceremony area and/or reception. We charge a set fee to cover our time to design, source and set up on the day. You provide a set budget for your flowers which we design to.
- If you prefer you can specify certain styled elements like ceremony backdrops, flowers for the tables etc and we cost accordingly.
- Bouquets, floral crowns, button holes, dog flower collars
- Or you can buy by the bucket and style yourselves
